Welcome to the Fort Lauderdale Zen Group We are a progressive Zen Buddhist discussion and meditation community, and we invite you to join us on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Our sangha (community) is composed of people from different backgrounds, ages and experiences who share a common longing to realize that indescribable "something" we intuitively feel, just beyond the comprehension of our thinking minds. If you are also compelled to seek, no matter whether you are an advanced student or one who is just beginning the journey, we welcome you. We meet every Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for discussion, zen chanting service, sitting and walking meditation, at the Herb Skolnick Community Center at 800 SW 36th Ave. in Pompano Beach. There is beginning instruction available before the meeting at 5:30-6:00 p.m. Please note: We will not be meeting on Thursday, Dec. 22nd. Have a joyful holiday season. We will be back on Thursday, Dec. 29th with a special celebration of the New Year meeting.
